- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned; drain the fat.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked meat with cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the mixture in a greased casserole dish.
- Top with a layer of tater tots.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until tater tots are golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
