  • 3/4-1 cup Candied pecans, store-bought or homemade Substitute with toasted almonds if preferred.
  • 1/2-3/4 cup Tangy feta cheese, crumbled Can swap with goat cheese for a creamier taste.
  • 3-4 tablespoons Poppy seed dressing, bottled or homemade Adjust to taste.
  • 1-2 breasts Grilled chicken, optional, sliced Recommended for additional protein.

Preparation
  1. Rinse strawberries under cold water, pat dry, and slice them into even pieces.
  2. Chop the romaine into bite-sized pieces and spin or pat it dry to keep it crisp.
  3. Place the romaine in a large salad bowl. Add the sliced strawberries, candied pecans, and crumbled feta.
  4. Drizzle poppy seed dressing over the salad. Gently toss just until everything is evenly coated, avoiding over-tossing to keep the berries intact.
  5. If using, slice the grilled chicken and arrange it on top of the tossed salad.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy.
