Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 boxes vanilla wafers (about 8–12 oz total)
  • 6 to 8 pieces bananas, sliced (ripe but firm)
  • 1 container strawberries, sliced (about 1 pint)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 box (5 oz.) French Vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container (12 oz.) whipped topping (thawed if frozen)

Method

Preparation
  1. Soften the cream cheese at room temperature for 15–20 minutes so it blends smoothly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the sweetened condensed milk until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Add the French vanilla pudding mix and 2 cups milk. Whisk until everything is fully combined and thickened.
Layering
  1. In a large serving dish or trifle bowl, make the first layer: arrange a single layer of vanilla wafers.
  2. Add a layer of sliced bananas, then a layer of sliced strawberries evenly over the wafers.
  3. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the fruit and wafers. Spread it gently to cover.
  4. Repeat the layers: another layer of wafers, bananas, and strawberries.
  5. Pour the remaining pudding mixture over the top layer and smooth it out.
  6. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the final layer.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the wafers to soften and the dessert to set.
