Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with whole wheat flour.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder Ensure it's fresh for the best rise.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk Can be substituted with almond milk.
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter Can use coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Topping
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar For topping the pancakes.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, gently stirring until just combined. It’s okay if there are a few lumps!
Cooking
  1. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with cooking spray or a bit of butter.
  2. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake, ensuring they’re spaced out evenly.
  3. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then carefully flip the pancakes to brown the other side.
  4. Once golden brown, remove the pancakes from the skillet and sprinkle them generously with cinnamon sugar right away.
  5. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, creating a delightful stack of pancakes.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy this delightful creation!
