  • 1 cup sourdough starter Make sure it is active and bubbly
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk You can use almond or oat milk for a dairy-free option
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • as needed as needed butter For cooking
For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the sourdough starter, flour, milk, egg, sugar, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a little butter.
Cooking
  1. Pour batter onto the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set.
  2. Flip and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with butter, maple syrup, and fresh fruit.
