Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix until combined and slightly fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chocolate chunks or M&M's.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
