  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup milk
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour Can use whole wheat flour for a heartier option.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Adjust for a stronger flavor if desired.
Topping
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Stir until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing out the top.
  7. For the topping, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle it evenly over the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!
