Preparation
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Divide the beef into small handfuls and place each handful onto one half of a tortilla, pressing it flat with a spatula.
- Season the beef generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cooking
- Place the tortilla beef-side down on the hot skillet. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes without moving it.
- Flip the tortilla so the beef side is facing up, sprinkle cheese over the cooked meat, then fold the tortilla in half.
- Press gently and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes per side until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Transfer to a cutting board, slice into wedges, and serve with optional toppings.
