Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the creamy mixture until well mixed.
- Scoop small portions of dough and roll into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in granulated sugar before placing them 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
