Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and position a rack in the center.
- In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly combined.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down in a baking dish large enough to hold them in a single layer.
- Brush the top of each fillet with garlic butter. Drizzle the olive oil over the fillets to help with browning.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar spice mix evenly across the tops of the salmon fillets, pressing lightly so it adheres.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven, let rest for a minute, and serve with lemon wedges squeezed over the top.

Notes
For best results, bring the salmon to room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before baking. To store, refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container within two hours of cooking and consume within 3 days. For reheating, use the oven to maintain moisture.
