Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz pasta (any type you prefer)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups milk Feel free to substitute with vegetable broth for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can experiment with different cheese varieties like Fontina or Asiago.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking
  1. Begin by heating the olive oil in a large pot or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute, allowing it to become fragrant.
  3. Pour in the pasta along with the milk, making sure the pasta is fully submerged.
  4. Increase the heat to bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce it to a simmer.
  5. Stir occasionally and cook the pasta until tender and the sauce thickens, which will take about 10-12 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper to suit your taste.
  7. Serve hot, finishing with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for that extra pop of color.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of milk if the sauce has thickened too much. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for about a month.
