Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Pinch of salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter Use smooth for easier binding
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Maple for dairy-free/vegan
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup M&M's or similar chocolate candies Optional for texture and color

Method

Preparation
  1. Combine the oats, protein powder, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Stir to evenly mix the dry ingredients.
  2. Add the peanut or almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix until a uniform dough forms, adding water or nut milk if too dry or more oats if too sticky.
  3. Fold in the mini chocolate chips and M&M's gently to ensure they are evenly distributed.
  4. Scoop about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a compact ball. Repeat until the mixture is used.
  5. Arrange the balls on a parchment-lined sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm. Serve chilled.
