  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Use overripe bananas for the sweetest flavor
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute some with oat flour for a nuttier flavor
  • 1 cup sugar Can substitute with honey or maple syrup for natural sweetness
  • ½ cup butter Must be melted
  • 2 pieces eggs Use room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Mix the sugar and melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then incorporate them into the banana mixture.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before slicing.
