Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and sour cream.
- Stir in the sugar and brown sugar along with the melted butter.
- Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract, blending until well mixed.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, and stir until combined.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing gently until just combined. If you're using walnuts, fold them in now.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
