Nacho Base
  • 1 cup Tortilla chips Use your favorite brand.
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can mix with other cheese types for more flavor.
  • 1 cup black beans, drained Use canned black beans for convenience.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes Fresh or canned diced tomatoes work.
  • 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños Adjust according to your spice preference.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions Fresh cilantro can also be used.
  • Guacamole (optional) Use homemade or store-bought.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Spread tortilla chips on a baking sheet.
  3. Top the chips with cheese, black beans, diced tomatoes, and jalapeños.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
  2. Remove from the oven and drizzle sour cream on top.
  3. Finish with green onions and guacamole if desired.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, either directly from the baking sheet or transfer to a large serving platter.
  2. Pair with extra sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the side.
