Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 large chicken breasts Substitute with thighs for a juicier option.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Low-sodium soy sauce can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Agave syrup can replace honey for a vegan option.
  • for searing Oil

Method

Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil to coat the bottom.
  2. Once the oil is hot, gently place the chicken breasts in the skillet and sear them until golden brown on both sides, roughly 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce and honey, stirring until well-blended.
  5. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, ensuring each piece is generously coated with the sauce.
  6. Lower the heat and let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 8-10 minutes, allowing it to thicken and ensuring the chicken is thoroughly cooked.

Notes

Don't overcrowd the skillet when searing. For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the soy sauce and honey for 30 minutes before cooking. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy variation.
