  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Let cool slightly before mixing.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until fully combined.
  4. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined—don’t overmix!
  5. Spoon the batter into cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
Baking
  1. Bake for 18-20 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean.
  2. Let the cupcakes cool before you serve them.
