  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can black beans, drained
  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce Can substitute with vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the pot. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Stir in the kidney beans, black beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring the pot to a simmer. Reduce the heat and let it cook for about 20 minutes.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy your cozy meal!
