Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onions and minced garlic. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large casserole dish, layer the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
- Add the cooked ground beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
- Sprinkle paprika, salt, and pepper over the layers.
- Pour the beef broth over everything.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- After 45 minutes, remove the foil and sprinkle cheese and fried onions on top.
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is melted.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
