  • 1 lb ground beef You can use lean or regular ground beef.
  • 3 cups cooked white rice Leftover rice works well.
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup Canned version for convenience.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to substitute with other cheeses.
  • 2 tbsp butter For sautéing the beef.
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a bowl, mix cooked beef, cooked rice, condensed soup, and sour cream until well combined.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the mixture evenly in the dish and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  4. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
