Ingredients
  

For the salmon
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets, about 6 ounces each
  • 1/4 cup honey For a less sweet glaze, reduce to 3 tablespoons and add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use low sodium if preferred. For gluten free, swap with tamari.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For greasing baking dish and glaze.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh Best for flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to garnish Chopped green onions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or brush lightly with olive oil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice until smooth and glossy.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them skin side down in the prepared dish. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the honey garlic glaze evenly over the fillets, coating the sides and tops generously.
Cooking
  1. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until the fish is opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Remove from the oven and let rest for about 1 minute. Spoon any remaining glaze over the fillets and finish with a scattering of chopped green onions.

Notes
