  • 1 pound kielbasa, sliced Use smoked kielbasa for more depth
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed Frozen green beans can be used, add later
  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved New potatoes or small Yukon work well
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth Use low-sodium if preferred
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional) Adds color and mild warmth

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Trim the green beans and halve the baby potatoes. Slice the kielbasa into 1/2-inch rounds. Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Add the kielbasa, green beans, potatoes, onion, and garlic to the crockpot. Ensure potatoes are close to the bottom for steady cooking.
  3. Pour the chicken broth over the ingredients until the bottom of the crockpot is well covered.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle the paprika, if using. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until potatoes are fork-tender and flavors have melded.
Serving
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes
