Creamy Chicken Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients
  

Pasta and Vegetables
  • 400 g Penne or Fusilli Choose your preferred type of pasta.
  • 1 medium broccoli, cut into small florets
Protein
  • 500 g Chicken breast, diced
Sauce Base
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 250 ml Cream Use heavy cream for a richer flavor.
  • 100 g Grated Parmesan Freshly grated is best.
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chili flakes for seasoning Adjust according to heat preference.

Method
 

Cooking Pasta and Broccoli
  1. Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. In the last 3–4 minutes, add the broccoli.
Cooking Chicken
  1. In a large pan, heat olive oil and cook the chicken pieces for 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Add garlic and fry for another 30 seconds.
Making the Sauce
  1. Pour cream into the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  2. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Drain the pasta and broccoli, then add them to the sauce in the pan. Mix well and allow to heat through.
  2. Sprinkle with chili flakes if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a pan over medium heat, adding a little cream or broth to loosen the sauce.
