Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pound steak, cut into 1-inch pieces (top sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1 recipe cowboy butter, divided

Method

Cooking the Steak Bites
  1. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add steak bites in a single layer, searing for 1 ½ to 2 minutes without moving.
  3. Flip the steak bites and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add half of the cowboy butter to the pan, tossing the steak bites to coat.
  5. Cook for 1 additional minute until the butter is melted and the steak is evenly glazed.
  6. Melt the remaining cowboy butter in the microwave and serve on the side for dipping or drizzling.
  7. Serve hot from the skillet on a platter with extra cowboy butter drizzled on top.

Notes

Use a high-quality steak for the best flavor. Ensure the skillet is hot enough before adding the steak to achieve a nice sear. Adjust the cowboy butter recipe by adding garlic or herbs to taste.
