  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Method
 

Preparation and Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Beat in the egg and then add the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, then roll them in sugar to coat.
  7. Place the coated dough balls on ungreased cookie sheets and gently flatten them using the bottom of a glass.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks.
