Preparation and Baking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the egg and then add the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, then roll them in sugar to coat.
- Place the coated dough balls on ungreased cookie sheets and gently flatten them using the bottom of a glass.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks.
