  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg Use room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  4. Using a fork, gently press each cookie down to create a crisscross pattern on top.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden around the edges.
  6. Allow them to cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
