  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if necessary.
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup ketchup Plus an additional 1/4 cup for topping.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, beaten egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Mix everything together until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  5. Spread the remaining 1/4 cup of ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Cooking
  1. Bake for about 1 hour or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  2. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
