Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1.33 cup whole milk (320g)
  • 4 teaspoons active dry yeast or instant yeast
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar (100g)
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour (650g)
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter room temperature (113g)
Filling Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened (113g)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed (200g)
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
Cream Cheese Icing Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream room temperature (120g)
  • 4 oz cream cheese room temperature (113g)
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter room temperature (56g)
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream (60g)
  • 1 cup icing sugar (100g)

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. Warm the milk until it's comfortable to touch.
  2. Mix in the yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, and salt.
  4. Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and butter to the dry ingredients.
  5. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Filling Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread the softened butter over it.
  3. Sprinkle the filling evenly on top.
Assembly & Baking
  1. Roll the dough tightly and cut it into 12 pieces.
  2. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  3. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
Cream Cheese Icing
  1. Whip the cream cheese, butter, and heavy cream in a bowl.
  2. Add the icing sugar and mix until smooth.
  3. Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls.
