Preparation
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
Cooking
- In the same skillet, add the marinara sauce and bring it to a simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken into the skillet, stirring everything together.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and let it melt.
