  • 2 cups beef broth Low-sodium broth is recommended.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Add according to preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Enhances the onion flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the onion.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  5. In a greased casserole dish, layer the sliced potatoes and cooked beef mixture.
  6. Pour beef broth over the layers, covering them evenly.
  7. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
