  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers Any color is fine.
  • 1 cup tomato sauce For added flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 pieces brioche buns Can substitute with other buns.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use your favorite cheese.
  • 1/2 cup milk Dairy-free option available.
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Cooking the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground chicken until browned, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  2. Add the diced onions and bell peppers, cooking until they soften.
  3. Stir in Cajun seasoning, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
Cheese Sauce Preparation
  1. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring until smooth. Add cheddar cheese to the mixture, stirring until melted.
Assembly
  1. Toast the brioche buns until they are golden.
  2. Serve the Cajun chicken mixture on toasted brioche buns topped with the cheese sauce.
