Preparation
- Cut the cooled brownies into bite-sized pieces so they layer neatly.
- Place half of the brownie pieces in the bottom of a trifle dish or a large glass bowl. Press lightly to create an even base.
- Spoon half of the chocolate pudding over the brownie layer. Smooth it gently with the back of a spoon.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the pudding in an even layer. Use an offset spatula for a smooth finish.
- Repeat: add the remaining brownie pieces, then the remaining pudding, and finish with the remaining whipped cream.
- Top the trifle with chocolate shavings or sprinkles for texture and visual appeal.
- Cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour so the layers set and flavors marry.
