Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it becomes golden brown and smells nutty. Let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
