  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted until golden brown
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it becomes golden brown and smells nutty. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
  2. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
