Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking soda, then set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until it’s smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing well until combined.
- Gradually add the dry flour mixture, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Using a large spoon, drop generous portions of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them out well.
- Bake cookies for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are a beautiful golden brown.
- Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
