Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking soda, then set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until it’s smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing well until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry flour mixture, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Using a large spoon, drop generous portions of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them out well.
  2. Bake cookies for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are a beautiful golden brown.
  3. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
