Ingredients

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Must be at room temperature.
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed Adds moisture and sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar For sweetness and crispiness.
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract For flavor.
  • 2 large eggs Bind the ingredients together.
Add-ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Use your favorite type of chocolate.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat together the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt until creamy.
  4. Add in vanilla and eggs, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Let them cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
