Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives (chopped)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Then, remove the chicken from the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the chicken broth, allowing it to simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Mix in the softened cream cheese until smooth, then stir in the chopped chives. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
Baking
  1. Place the seared chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and pour the cream cheese sauce over the top. If desired, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  3. For an added touch, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to achieve a beautifully browned topping.
  4. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
