Brownie Batter
  • 2 cups peeled and chopped apples Feel free to use your favorite apple variety.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup toasted pecans, chopped Toasting enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until everything is well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Gently fold in the chopped apples and toasted pecans.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly across the pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them into squares.
