Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or similar sized casserole.
- In a large bowl combine the ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into 6 medium patties or 4 larger ones. Place them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Baking
- Spoon the cream of mushroom soup over the patties to coat them evenly. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until the patties are cooked through.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
