  • 2 cups mashed potatoes Let come to room temperature before layering.

  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until thoroughly cooked.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until they are tender.

  5. In a baking dish, layer the meat mixture evenly and top it generously with mashed potatoes.
