Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Filling and Glaze
  • 2 cups diced apples Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar For glaze.
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk For glaze, adjust for desired consistency.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
Glazing
  1. To make the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bread.
