Ingredients
  

Pickles and Coating
  • 1 cup dill pickles (or any type of pickles) Use thick-cut pickles for better texture.
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • to taste Cooking spray For air frying.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the pickles into thick slices, about 1/4 inch.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
Coating and Cooking
  1. Dip each pickle slice into the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off, then coat thoroughly with the cornmeal mixture.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated pickles in a single layer.
  4. Spray the tops of the pickles lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch, spicy mayo, or marinara.

Notes
